Envious One

[Oh look, on Envy's video feed today it looks like…the sky? And the tops of some of the buildings in Goldenrod. Did the 'Gear fall on the ground, or--]

[OH, hello there giant green serpent-dragon face! That is one displeased and confused looking dragon there. Spoilers: it's Envy.]

[Envy shakes his head slightly, as though still disoriented, before looking around and noticing that hey, he's a huge dragon in the middle of this city. Shit. His head retreats off-camera, and a minute or two later he's picking his Gear up, in his regular form again, and taking off running with it. From what's visible as he books it out of sight of the crowds, it looks like that dragon from before has vanished!]

[Envy's well into the back streets of Goldenrod before he stops running, and despite the cold weather he doesn't look like he's shivering at all. Gotta love being a homunculus sometimes. He lets out a short bark of laughter as he leans against the side of a building.]

So it's all back again, huh? Makes up for being thrown across the map.

[That smirk probably does not bode well for at least a few people in particular.]

[The video feed turns on to show Envy's face; for once, he's contacting the network on purpose. In the background, one might hear the sounds of a minor wild pokemon battle. Clearly not too important, since Envy doesn't look like he's paying much attention to it.]

Hey, I've been wondering. Does anyone else have a pokemon that's taken a weirdly long time to evolve, or--

[Envy's question is cut off by the distinctive noise of EVOLUTION HAPPENING, and he looks up with an almost startled expression. Quickly followed by one of vague annoyance. Chimera would wait until Envy actually asked to get around to it, wouldn't he?] …Never mind.

[The camera turns to catch the tail end of the evolution, and when the light fades away…]



…What. [Okay, pokedex checking time because what. Envy had expected more along the lines of a bigger dinosaur the way his Ekans had just turned into a bigger and fancier snake, which would make sense. But a rock cocoon thing?] Pupitar? Larvitar and Pupitar. What's he going to turn into next, some kind of butterfly?
