[Happy Halloween, Johto! Tonight, the 'Gear is in the hands of Little Bear the Teddiursa, who was going to help Envy pick pockets while everyone is wearing costumes and strangers wouldn't be able to tell who he is. Note the 'was'. The camera is focused on Envy, and it looks like he went as all out as he could afford for his vampire costume. The costume itself is your typical storebought Dracula outfit, complete with high-collared cape, but Envy's also dyed his hair black and pulled it back into a ponytail that trails down his back (because hell if he's going to actually cut his hair). He's covered his face and hands in surprisingly well-applied pale makeup, with dark shadows under his eyes that actually look like shadows and not like a raccoon. He also got his hands on individual tooth cap fangs rather than the plastic 'vampire teeth' given out at children's parties.]

[He's standing in the shadows and holding his cape up around his torso with one arm, talking to himself. In…an incredibly cliche Transylvanian accent? ~~Which will not be typed out fully.~~]

There is too much light here! How vill I be able to hunt like this?

[Little Bear turns the camera back to himself, looking confused.] My trainer is acting funny! I thought he was just being silly at first but now we're not doing anything fun like he said we were going to earlier. How do I make him act normal again, I want to play and get treats!

[ooc: Very belated Halloween post! Anyone in Olivine is free to run into Envy at any point during the night, although be warned that due to his vampire-ness he may creep on your character some. If this is not okay with you, just let me know in the header!]

[ Katara isn't watching the gear, so she has no idea that Envy is currently acting like a vampire. Instead she's watching the current ongoings with a bit of curiosity.

... Is it NORMAL for people to act the part of the costumes? Maybe she's doing this wrong? ]

[Envy notices how Katara is standing apart from the crowds. And, as far as he's concerned, that makes her easy vampire prey. If he actually remembered who she was he might think differently, but he doesn't.]

[He slinks through darkened areas and uses whatever cover he can as he approaches. It wouldn't do to be seen before he wants to be and have his hunt cut short. He's hoping the lights and noise from the festival will hide his footsteps and provide enough of a distraction while he sneaks up behind her.]

[ Oblivious Katara is oblivious. She does get this weird feeling for a second and STARTS to look over her shoulder, but then she catches sight of more people acting weird and just sort of makes a face instead. ]

What in Yue's name has gotten into everyone tonight?

[Ghosts. Ghosts have gotten into everyone tonight Katara. When she almost turns to look, Envy freezes until he's sure she's distracted again before taking those last few steps up to her. He puts a hand firmly on her shoulder as he leans forward to talk past her ear. This Ghastly has watched too many bad movies.]

Good evening, miss.

[ HOW DARE THEY. HOW DARE THEY.

No, nix that. HOW DARE YOU.

If you were looking to scare her, well, good job Envy, mission accomplished. Katara nearly jumps out of her skin with a startled shout, just to bring a hand up over her heart-- you know, to keep it from pounding out of her chest. ]

[ She RECOGNIZES that voice. Katara looks over her shoulder and sees you standing so close and she just came really close to testing some of Ed's teachings on you. ]

Envy?! What in the world are you DOING? ... [ Wait. Eyes roaming down and then back up. Scratch that last question. More importantly: ] What are you wearing?

[Envy laughs softly at Katara's surprise, and if she didn't pull away from it he hasn't let go of her shoulder. When he speaks, he sounds perfectly calm and gentlemanly. And he is still way too close.]

You must be mistaking me for someone else, miss. I am vearing vhat I alvays do, but your outfit is certainly unique.

[He is also kind of staring at your neck Katara.]

[ ... Okay... What? ]

Okay, what is this? Are you getting into character or something? I don't even know who you're supposed to be dressed up as, but you're freaking me out. [ She'll push your hand away now, Envy. ]

Don't worry, there is no need to be frightened of me.

[He is kind of confused by her reaction because girl he has never seen you before and what's that about a costume, but he's going to roll with it. He grins slightly, enough to reveal his 'fangs'.]

Oh, don't worry. I'm not. [ Unimpressed look, and just giving you the weirdest stare at the "fangs".
