Eighteenth Transformation [video/action for Ecruteak]

[Envy switches the video on to show himself sitting in what look like some of the higher branches of a tree, although not so high that he's in danger of his perch breaking. Someone is obviously enjoying the sun and warm weather Johto is having right now.]

[But while he looks to be in a good mood, there's also something he's been thinking about. Namely that he was informed of some events from his future by one Roy Mustang. Events that aren't going to end well for him. And while he'd prefer to think that Roy is just lying about it, it's still not something he'd like to chance. So, Johto, Envy has a question for you.]

Hey, for anyone that sees this. Say you found out about something from your future while you were here. Do you think it's possible to change it?

I am curious, but I am willing to wait until you are ready, if you need some time.

[Envy's grin fades as he nods, and he shrugs. His gaze slides away from France and down until he's looking at the ground. He's nervous about revealing this to France, that much is clear. When he does speak, his voice is barely audible at all, and comes out in a rush.]

I get killed.

How and why? If you know one of those factors, you can most certainly change it.

[Envy turns his hand to grip France's, wanting that contact.]

I don't know why, he won't tell me and there's too many things it could be for me to be sure. As for how...he said that we get into a fight.

[He lets out a low, bitter laugh.] He's the Flame Alchemist, the bastard probably just lights me on fire until I stay dea--

[He stops speaking abruptly, then, and looks almost apologetic. He hadn't intended to reveal that much about it. Though he still hasn't looked up.]

This Flame Alchemist is here, in this place?

[Envy does look up then, giving France a hard-to-read look, and nods.]

He is. Since a little over a month ago.

You're mine. He won't touch you here. If he even tries -

You're mine. No one hurts what is mine and gets away with it.

[Envy looks decidedly surprised, then makes an odd face that's really a bit touched. He squeezes France's hand.]

If he's ever around, I'll be sure to stay near your side, then. [And while he doesn't say it, part of the reason would be to keep Mustang away from France too, just in case he decided to target those close to Envy. Since, well, that's what Envy would do.]

And even if I couldn't, I won't let him hurt me here. He doesn't have his alchemy to help him. You won't have to worry.

I'm prone to worrying, but I'll try my best.
