Well...you know, I thought Heather and Al were going to come back from the gym battle with plenty of cash, so what did it matter if I gambled a little, right?

[HE LOST ALL OF THEIR TRIP MONEY.]

And with the warp pads, it should be fine. I can just hop over for an afternoon and come back here, no problem. I've already got the badge here.

[Honestly, Envy's so used to Joker only having the one arm and not seeming very interested in getting a new one that it is a surprise.]

Do you know where you're getting it from? I mean, I haven't seen an arm store around.

[THIS IS AN IMPORTANT THING. And with the warps, it really doesn't take long to get back to Goldenrod--it's not that many stops between Celadon and there. As soon as the bit of vertigo that taking a lot of warps always gives him dissipates, he does send that message:]

[Ha! Well, he supposes it is a pretty big surprise. Joker still can’t help but smile a little.]

[It’s still pretty hilarious that Envy left RIGHT THEN, but, well, there you go. Joker makes his way to the center, Angel hopping along to keep up with him, and waves his (currently) sole good hand in the air when he spots him.]

Now, if you'd caught me from say, a week into camping in the dirt, I might not look so great, but you've got good timing.

[But it's the next question that has him almost pause in his walk, and Joker huffs out a laugh as he rubs the back of his neck.]

I've been thinkin' about it off and on, ever since... Jims left, actually. I guess with prom comin' up, it sorta served as incentive ta go and get one again after all this time. [A flicker of a grin.] Can't take a pretty lady dancin' with just one arm, y'know.
