42nd Transformation [video/action for Goldenrod]

[Envy is looking uncharacteristically nervous when he turns the feed on. His hair is tied back in a messy ponytail--the sort of messy hinting that he didn't actually have any idea how to do it right and just wanted these green things out of his face--and there are bags under his eyes like he didn't sleep the night before. In fact, he hadn't, as he's been wandering Goldenrod with a purpose since the past afternoon. There's a worried-looking Tyranitar standing a few feet back and to the side, just barely in the frame. Envy clears his throat.]

A-ah, I heard there were a lot of people connected to this, i-is there anyone who can help me?

[Chimera carefully shuffles a few steps closer and leans down as though to nudge Envy's head, but Envy makes a noise that's almost a squeak and half hops to the side to get away, glancing back and forth from the camera to the Tyranitar nervously.]

I'm looking for my family. [He takes a deep breath, looking more earnest now.] I really need to find them, I think they're in danger.

If anyone can help me, if it's not too much trouble, please let me know.

[The feed turns off, and the Yamask-possessed Envy returns to his searching. Chimera follows behind him, very fretful over the sudden change and lack of recognition from his trainer.]

[Misaki's only talked to this guy once but she already feels something's off about him but she doesn't know what. Maybe her 6th sense would've been useful in determining what if she still had it.]

How did you get separated from your family in the first place? [No point in accusing the guy of lying.] Is something after you guys?

I think you're also worrying your pokemon a bit...

I'm not sure, I--

[He puts a hand to the side of his head, closing his eyes and taking a breath before continuing. He's looking pretty freaked out. And basically the exact opposite of how Envy had been acting the first time they spoke.]

Someone broke into our home, and I told them to run. After that, I can't seem to remember, I-I think I must have been knocked out.

[A sort of nervous glance back at Chimera.] That one isn't mine, but he won't stop following me.

[Ok, there was obviously something off about him, without a doubt.]

K-Knocked out..? [Concern could be heard in her voice.] Are you sure you're all right?

If that pokemon isn't yours, there's no reason for him to be following you around. [Annoyance soon replaced her concern.] He's obviously worried about you so you must have some value to him.

I think so, I don't even have a headache so I'm sure it's fine.

[He gives her a hesitant smile. At least, he does right up until she gets annoyed. Then he just looks half guilty and half fretful.] I've never seen him before, I'm really not sure why he's after me. Maybe he's mistaking me for his own trainer.

[However, he can't be distracted from his goal for too long.]

Oh, but miss, you wouldn't happen to be in Goldenrod, would you? Maybe you've seen my family? [She seems okay! Mostly! Maybe she can help him ;-; ]

Well, I don't think there's any other trainer with spiky green hair like yours. [You obviously haven't been exploring much of the world though, Misaki.]

[Misaki's face looked concerned again. She's been stuck in Cherrygrove ever since her Yamask incident and just left the city today so she can't really help too much no matter how much she wanted to. Long distance travel sucks fffu-]

I'm really sorry, I just left Cherrygrove so I'm probably far behind. [A sigh of worry could be heard as she held her head in disbelief.] I haven't seen anyone who could look like they're your family around here.

Spiky green--oh, yes, I'd almost forgotten. This isn't normally what my hair looks like at all, I'm sure it's some sort of prank. [He's definitely very adamant that he doesn't have palmtree hair, despite being so timid.]

[His face falls a little when she says she's so far away, but he gives her a smile anyway. He doesn't want a young girl to be too worried about him.]

That's all right, I'm sure you'd help if you could. What's your name? Mine is Edmund Hall.

Really? Other than it being in tied up, it looked rather the same than the last time we spoke. It isn't permanent, is it?

[Another sigh came from her mouth, trying not to be so worried over ~~Envy~~ Edmund. Even if she didn't personally know the person, some sense of worry is bound to come up somewhere inside.]

Oh, how rude of me... [Her head gave a small bow. This side of her didn't come up too much.] I'm Asou Misaki.

Envy? What's wrong? What type of family are you talking about? [ Her voice is cold and low. It can barely be accounted as whisper. Boy, if she learns you think of France as family!!!!! |: ]

I-I think you have the wrong person, miss...

[Either this is the best act Envy has ever put on in his life or his personality has done a complete 180. He's also looking suitably nervous because who is this terrifying lady.]

Ah. Let me ask you something, does the term Amestris mean anything to you?

[ She's leaning towards the latter. She's not even sure if it's Envy. Maybe it's just some anxious, mess of a ditto. ]

[He pauses a few moments to think.]

Ah, no, it doesn't. I'm sorry, I've never heard it or read about it in any books.

[And this Yamask has read a lot of books, having been a librarian. He still looks unsure.] Why do you ask?

Ah...? And just what type of places are you familiar with?

[ .....Welp. Envy's possessed. But by what? ]

I suggest you try looking into a reflection at sometime in the near future.

I'm familiar with all the regions, miss, Johto and Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova...I-I've never left Goldenrod myself, but I have studied them. But no, I'm sure I've never heard of this Amestris.

[At the second remark, he looks a bit confused.] My reflection?

...it must be the hair you're talking about. [He reaches to pull the end of his messy ponytail forward, looking at it in more than a little distaste.] Some sort of prank, I'm certain.

[After all, to admit he wasn't in his own body would be to admit he was dead, and that's something he can't do.]

[ ...Yeah. Envy's totally possessed, by a bookworm.

Lust's response is filled to the brim with sarcasm. ]

Correct. It's quite obviously your reflection. However, I'm not from around these parts. I'd be curious about learning more about these regions. [ Might as well take this opportunity. ] Could you please help me?

[And not just any bookworm. A sentimental, good-natured, wuss of a bookworm.]

I suppose I could...what would you like to know?

[He doesn't see why he shouldn't help this woman out while he's searching for his family! He can totally walk and talk at the same time no problem...maybe.]

The history of Johto. However, I am also interested in other worldly travelers? Do people from another world show up her and mysteriously vanish? [ ...He seemed smart enough to glean some information from. ]

Another world? [He seems genuinely puzzled by the question. But on the plus side, the prospect of being able to answer questions and share knowledge is definitely making him less nervous. He's not even stammering anymore.]

That sounds more like it belongs in a science-fiction novel, I've never heard of such a thing really happening. But as for the history of Johto...well, there's quite a lot of it. Is there a particular city you're interested in?

_{[He just returned from some sort of shenanigans, so Miguel's has no idea Envy's not Envy right now.]}

[Envy doesn't realize that Miguel is talking to him, since after all that isn't his name, but Chimera is definitely relieved to see him. He shuffles right over to Miguel, still careful not to make any sudden movements and looking very worried. Oh thank goodness Miguel you're here maybe you can fix his trainer there is something very wrong :C ]

[But 'Envy' can't help but notice that his dinosaur tagalong has gone towards a different person.]

O-oh, is he yours? I'm sorry, I couldn't get him to stop following me. [He is looking apologetic and shy and this is such a strange thing to see on Envy's face.]

What? No, he's- _{[He glances up at Chimera, confused, then back to Envy. Then back to Chimera.]}

Has he been like this... for a long time? _{[Not sure if Envy's just screwing with him so better ask his Pokemon.]}

[Chimera nods sadly in response. Envy, meanwhile, just looks confused.]

Have I been like what? [And then he hesitantly adds, with a sort of look on his face that he thinks Miguel might be totally crazy: ] ...have we met?

_{[Wow Miguel is barely surprised. Johto's thrown so much crazy shit at him so he's stopped being so surprised at everything.]

[He turns back to the apparently-not-Envy, not sure what exactly he should say.]}

Uuh. Sort of. Or maybe not really. Who are you?

[He draws himself up as he seems to remember something important.] And I'm looking for my family, my wife and my two girls. I can't find them anywhere. [And he looks very nervous about this.]

[His face falls a little. He'd show Miguel a picture of them but he didn't have anything of his when he woke up and doesn't know why. :( He's not currently capable of realizing that he's in a different body, because that would mean realizing that he's dead and that is just a nope.jpg.]
