Oh, that was you. Sorry, I thought it was some rope! [This voice is low and seems genuinely apologetic, and some might recognize it as belonging to Miguel.]

[Someone else speaks up now, voice hissing. This one is easily recognizable as Tulio.] Be quiet!

Well they will if you keep up with all that-- that cacaphony.

[All three of them go quiet now, so anyone listening to this feed will now be able to hear the sound of…waves? It sounds like these three are on a boat. There's also the sound of creaking footsteps walking by wherever they are, and it's not until a minute or two after the footsteps passed by that they finally exhale.]

I hate boats.

Well, it is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays and in China it's known as the "Spring Festival." The date changes each year too since it follows the Chinese calendar, which is lunisolar. Chinese New Year does not end until the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, aru.

But the meaning behind the festivities is similar to that of the Western New Year: families coming together to enjoy good food and welcoming the new year with hopes of good luck and fortune.

Last year I celebrated it here with my family and friends and I plan on doing the same this year. You, Envy, and Miguel are all welcome to join in if we happen to be in the same city by then. [He smiles a bit.]
