Eighteenth Transformation [video/action for Ecruteak]

[Envy switches the video on to show himself sitting in what look like some of the higher branches of a tree, although not so high that he's in danger of his perch breaking. Someone is obviously enjoying the sun and warm weather Johto is having right now.]

[But while he looks to be in a good mood, there's also something he's been thinking about. Namely that he was informed of some events from his future by one Roy Mustang. Events that aren't going to end well for him. And while he'd prefer to think that Roy is just lying about it, it's still not something he'd like to chance. So, Johto, Envy has a question for you.]

Hey, for anyone that sees this. Say you found out about something from your future while you were here. Do you think it's possible to change it?

[Not too bad at all! Envy still thinks he's better at it, but that's nothing really new.]

You're pretty good at climbing for someone who hates nature.

_[Smirk.] It comes in handy. So what did you find out?

_{[Straight to the point, we are.]}

I'm sure it does.

[He snickers, but the next question makes that kind of die down. Man, Envy does not want to answer that question entirely.]

Nothing good, that's what.

_{[See, Tulio does care. He leans back on his branch, quite comfortable, and looks up at Envy.]}

Weeeell, since we're talking about you, I'm guessing you get into some kind of trouble.

[He snorts, looking to the side away from Tulio.]

Yeah, trouble's a light way to put it.

So you're in deep trouble.

_{[He says it matter-of-fact, still leaning back and looking up at Envy.]}

[He nods. And then he's quiet for a minute or two before scowling.]

The 'getting killed' sort of trouble.

What?

_{[Hang on, sitting up straight.]}

Wait, you die</>?

Apparently.

Unless you can think of some other outcome for 'we get into a fight that only one of us walks away from'.

[He glares out at Ecruteak, still not particularly wanting to look at Tulio.] So I'm going to change it.

Wait wait- wait. Who are you fighting? Why are you fighting him?

[Envy slams his fist into the nearest available thick branch. He's not mad at you, Tulio, he's just extremely frustrated with the situation.] I don't know why I'm going to be fighting him! He won't tell me, and there's a lot of things it could be.

[He lets out a short, not very humored laugh.] I'm not the most popular person among the humans who know I exist in my world.

...it's a guy named Roy Mustang.

_{[Welp, he's still flinching a little at it, because he's pretty much lived a life of assuming that fighting will end up bad for him somehow. He looks at Envy with more caution, and asks more carefully.]}

... do I know him?

[Envy's still frowning, but the tree-punching seems to have been the extent of his outburst for now. It's a good thing he doesn't have his powers though or that branch would have probably broken. He sighs, and finally turns to look at Tulio.]

I don't think so, he'd have probably introduced himself. Medium-tall guy, short black hair, blue uniform?

_{[Yeeaah no. He shakes his head and remains quiet for a few seconds, before tentatively asking again.]}

So ... how are you planning on changing it?

Don't know. [This is a lie. Envy's main thoughts are 'kill him first before he gets the chance'.]

Try to stay the hell away from fighting him, for one thing. If I'd been able to find out more I could plan, but...

_{[He makes a small humming sound. Yeah, he can almost sniff out the lie, but that's not his main focus. Eyes narrow a bit-]}

If you can remember.

[He does not sound like he wants to argue about this. Really, the idea that he might forget everything that's happened in Johto is frightening.]

Hopefully I won't even have to worry about it.

_{[Yeah, Tulio doesn't want to forget Johto either at this point.]}

I don't know, maybe. I've been here a while, and I haven't even gone into one of those...coma things.

... yeah, me neither. _{[He looks thoughtful.]} Wonder if there's a limit or something. To how long we can be here.

Well if there is, there's people who've been here even longer that ought to hit it first, so we'd have some warning.

[He sighs. Johto is terribly frustrating sometimes. And he doesn't much want to talk about dying anymore.]

_{[At the new topic though, he leans back against the tree again, looking pretty pleased.]}

When I was a kid. Funny thing about people: they hardly ever look up.
