[Today when the video comes on, Envy is pushing through the tall grass and bushes outside Goldenrod. He's looking extremely frustrated, and there might be a small bit of worry there too. He's got his Tyranitar and Houndoom out; Chimera is looking around from his higher vantage point, and Lucky is sniffing at the ground and whining in distress. They're clearly searching for something, and, if you know about Envy's dislike of asking for help, have been for a while now with no success.]

[Envy turns to the camera, still scowling.] Hey, is there anyone on Route 34 who's seen a little Pokemon running around? She's called a Tropius, I think. Weird looking long-necked lizard with…leaf wings and bananas on her neck, nothing you'd see around here normally.

She just hatched a couple days ago, I'd rather find her before she gets herself eaten or something.

[A frustrated sigh.] If anybody else finds her, let me know. She might try to fight you if you do find her, but hey, I'm sure something that young shouldn't be more than anyone around here could handle. [Although Envy tried to make the tone of his request more friendly, in this mood he can't help a small sneer. He's definitely not happy about having to ask. And on that note, Envy ends the feed.]

[Ed's looking over Katara's shoulder as he hears a familiar voice.]

Katara!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING TALKING TO THIS GUY?!

GAH!!! [Visibly jumps, then turns her head to glare]

[--and since she doesn't have her water bending to reprimand you with instead you get a good smack on your left shoulder.] ED! Don't SNEAK UP ON ME then go YELLING IN MY EAR!!! Geez! You're so RUDE!

[Very unhappy scowl at Ed.] Being a hell of a lot more helpful than you were.

[He gives Katara a shrug, and feigns a sympathetic 'what can you do about this guy' look.] He is rude, isn't he?

[Ed takes a step back and rubs his shoulder. Good thing Katara either remembered which shoulder was metal or was lucky enough to just hit the normal one anyway. Well, good thing for Katara at least...]

Sorry! You shouldn't be talking to that guy! [Ed points at her pokegear. He's ignoring Envy for the moment.] He's dangerous!

[Remembered, definitely remembered. Also let there be Facepalm.] Incredibly.

[Have a disbelieving stare, Ed.]

Right, because he's so threatening from inside the Pokegear. I think I might die right now because I've exchanged words with him!

[Sighs.] Look: even if you two don't get along it's no excuse to give him a cold shoulder. He's asking for help, Ed. [You win more flies with honey than with vinegar. I mean, I have no idea why you'd want to catch FLIES but whatever.]

[Envy's just looking on in amusement.] You know, shrimp, I really can't do anything to your friend all the way from here.

And I'm sort of busy right now, what with finding a lost baby and all. [He shrugs, smirking. Hey, if he has the chance to make himself look good, he's going to take it.]

[Ed points at the Pokegear, as if he's going to jump through the tiny screen and punch Envy in the face. ~~You know, he could probably fit through that screen...~~]

SHUT IT!! I'M GONNA GET BACK YOU FOR THAT!!

[He turns back to Katara. He'd literally try to knock some 'sense' in her if she wasn't from a different world or whatever.]

I don't care if he needs help! He's a murderer!

[Just staring back and forth between the two at first, surprised by the exchange.

Oh God, Ed, you just said the magic word.

Magic as in the kind of devil spawned witchcraft that you see in horror occult movies.

THAT kind of magic.]

What? Ed! That's not funny! [She looks a bit horrified at the idea. Her eyes are definitely DARK. That word, THAT WORD is not meant to be used lightly.]

[Envy's eyes narrow, a dangerous look flashing over his features for a moment. He doesn't appreciate getting exposed. But after a moment, the look is hidden again.]

Yeah, it's not funny. You shouldn't throw accusations like that around lightly, Fullmetal. [Even if they are completely and horrifyingly true.]

[Envy, you're such an ass. Ed is just itching to wrestle the pokegear out of Katara's hands and end the transmission.]

Does it look like I'm laughing?! It's sick to joke around like that! Don't listen to this bastard, Katara. He'll just try to use you for his own dirty work!

[Ed wouldn't have to, the look on Katara's face has darkened further. Honestly, in a contest between Ed and Envy, who she'd trust was an easy answer. Envy isn't at all helping his case by still trying to egg Ed on like it's just a game.]

It's true, isn't it. I haven't known him long, but I know Ed wouldn't lie about something like that. How can you act so nonchalant about it?!

[Envy's going to be subtly switching this feed to filtered. He doesn't need anyone else overhearing this conversation. At Ed's outburst, though, he can't help a short bark of laughter.] And just what dirty work do you think I'd need help with in this world? I've been on my very best behavior here.

[He just shrugs at Katara, looking unbothered. As irritating as it is that he's been called out, it's not much of a loss to him since he'd just met her.] Easily enough.
