Seventh Transformation [video/action]

[When the camera first comes on, it's a little difficult to even see what's going on in the thick snow and the dark. But there are three figures huddled against the wind, and the shortest of these is the one holding the camera. Although it's a little hard to tell who it is under the hood of his coat, a quick readjust of the camera to be closer puts Envy, as well as his two travelling partners that some might recognize as Miguel and Tulio, at a better angle. None of them are looking too good.]

H-hey… [He gives the camera a strained grin, teeth chattering too much to be at all convincing.] We c-could use so-ome h-help, if anyone's a-around Route 34. I t-think we're about…halfway t-to Goldenrod? Not m-much cover from the wind out h-here.

[Greed frowns, the barest hint of concern showing on his face.]

Hey crazyhead...I don't think I c'n get outta town, but I think I c'n talk t' those police ladies an' they'll send someone out. Remember like how they had those teams in Drachma with the huge dogs? Maybe they have people like that here too. Don't sweat it. [He grins.] I'll kick your ass if you get turned into an icecube.

Y-you're in Violet a-anyway, not like you'd be able t-to get here. You w-wanna call them, I'm sure n-not gonna stop you.

Hah, I-I'm not gonna freeze, dumbass. You know I'm t-too stubborn for that.

[He frowns again. Envy was good at staying alive, but he didn't spend much time getting to know things about being human or things humans do that weren't directly related to whatever facade he had going at the same time.] Hey, jus' make sure you guys all stay awake. An' you c'n maybe get that pig thing the guy in th' red shirt has t' make some sorta rock or dirt layer on the snow, snap off some branches on a tree and start a fire. You c'n use a scrap of cloth from someone's clothes fer tinder.

[He snorts, but he is planning on taking the advice. He didn't care if Greed was the one giving it if they could actually get a fire going out of it.] Yeah yeah, I g-guess we can try it. E-even if you probably made it up.

[Greed gives a short bark of laughter and halfway smiles.] Since when have I made shit up, crazyhead? That's your specialty, y'know. Besides. I'll have you know I started quite a few fires when I went campin' with m' gang in Amestris. Loa showed me how. I even learned how t' make a lean-to. 'cos I'm jus' that awesome.

[Somehow this seemed very familiar. Envy gives the camera a chattery grin.] I've g-gotta stop doing this to you, h-huh?

Route 34. I think.

Route 34?

I think Greed called them...

H-he said he would, anyway. Said they m-might have dog teams like Drachma or s-something.

Oh... Well...

Drachma? Is that a place that has dog sledding?

[Envy's glad for that, and for something to talk about and distract him from how cold it is.] Y-yeah. And big dogs they s-send out to find lost people.

M-me and Greed had to go there once. It was much worse weather than this, a-all the time.

I hadn't thought that search and rescue operations were well-planned out in Hell...

How could it be bad weather all the time? Aren't there seasons or...?

For our sake, I'm hoping they are.

[Envy considers the question.] I g-guess it thaws some in the summer, but...

Usually it's just m-miserable. Really far north, full of mountains.

So it's like the most northern parts of Russia and the Nordic countries. It's very pretty in the summer but extremely cold in the winter. They have dog sledding, too, I think; it's a big sport.

Greed t-tried the sledding and fell off, I remember. [He snickers, a little. But he's curious about the places France mentioned.]

Ever been there? [He pauses.] O-or I guess not, 'f you're a country...

Nice thing about having a humanoid body is that I also get to travel to the lands of other Nations. The northern lands are beautiful, and the air is so fresh and crisp, almost like breathing the best champagne.

Heh, you actually manage to make the cold sound nice.

Wonder if there's anywhere like that in this world.

I do aim to please.

I suppose it is possible, although it seems that everywhere in this place is currently affected by the storm .

[He gives him a short grin back.] Well you are very good at it.

So long as I can just get inside soon I won't even care about how big the stupid storm is.

Inside with a nice bed and a good heater is the place to be during a storm. If you were in bed with me, even better, but rest assured that I am there beside you with my heart.

[There are other people right there so no cute faces this time, but he will smile just a little, briefly.] I'll keep that in mind.

I just hope this weather doesn't last until spring.

Normally it only lasts for a few weeks at the most; however long it takes until the weather front exhausts itself. Hopefully not too long. I do want to see you before spring.

I'm nowhere near patient enough to wait for spring either way, I'd have to get myself a fire type to go out and see you. And that would be a hassle, so the weather better clear up before then. [He grins teasingly.]

Marianne would probably be more than willing to have an adventure fighting the snow, so rest assured that I shall grace your bedside sometime in the near future.

[He had heard the call, so he hopped onto his Onix and they headed straight for Route 34.]

Hey, do you guys want some blankets or something, aru?

[Yao himself is wearing his white, hooded cloak over his white waiter uniform.]

_{[Tulio is frozen and in a really, really bad mood, so despite being the coldest he's ever been in his life, that sort of made him snap.]}

Blankets? Blankets?! How about getting us out of here?

_{[He's got a firm grip on Miguel who looks like he's agreeing with that statement, but only adds a small 'please'.]}

[Envy is surprised to say the least at seeing the gigantic rock snake coming through the snow at them, but when he sees the person on its back he calms down a little. When the person speaks he recognizes the voice as Yao, and waves up. He hadn't actually expected anyone to come get them other than the police Greed had called, so he's looking relieved that someone actually showed. When Tulio snaps at him, though, he frowns and elbows him lightly.] Hey, it's better not to yell at someone who might help us out, and I know this guy.

[He turns back up to Yao, though.] We could use a ride, though, if you can...or blankets, or anything.

[Yao just looks at Tulio. He didn't think his words would be misinterpreted.] I meant, do you guys want blankets to wrap around yourselves as we head to Goldenrod, aru.

[He then looks at Envy.] Hop on, aru. I'll pass out the blankets once everyone's on.

[Envy looks more relieved, and climbs up, extending a hand back to help up the other two. It's a little difficult since his hands are so cold, but he manages.] Thanks.

Was starting to think there wasn't anyone in the area.

No problem, aru.

[He takes out a blanket from his backpack and hands it to evny.] Here. I have more for the others, aru.

[Envy takes the blanket and only pauses long enough to brush and shake snow from his coat before wrapping it around himself. He takes the blankets for the others and hands them back.] Here, see I told you guys someone would show up.

_{[Miguel gratefully takes the blanket with a frozen, shivering hand, wasting no time in wrapping it tight around himself and uttering a quick 'thanks' through his chattering teeth]}

How do you know this guy?

I've talked to him over the 'gear a couple times, and the day we arrived too. [He is way too cold to give anything but short straight answers. He turns to Yao, and gestures back and forth between him and the other two.] These're my traveling partners, Miguel and Tulio. Guys, this is Wang Yao.

[Yao figures that they'd better get a move on, so he gets Zhuang to start heading back to Goldenrod.]

[He looks back at Envy's companions and nods his head as a greeting.]

Nihao. Just as he said, I am Wang Yao and I come from China, aru.

_{[Weeell Tulio's a bit more happy now when he's warmer and knows they'll be getting a move on, but he is still always wary of new people.]

Hey.

_{[Tulio and greetings just never seem to get along.]}}

[As Zhuang makes his way through the snow, Yao can't help but let his curiosity get the better of him.]

So, how did you three end up in a situation like that, aru?

We were heading to Goldenrod, and didn't get there in time. And in all this snow we couldn't really move much farther forward without just getting more lost.

Figured we should get help now before it got even worse.

Oh, I see, aru. The snow also slowed down my brothers and I when we were heading towards Goldenrod ourselves.

Still, you're all very fortunate. They say the blizzard is going to get worse soon, but with Zhuang helping us, we should reach Goldenrod in no time, aru.
