Third Transformation [accidental video/action for anyone around Violet]

[The Pokegear seems to have fallen out of Envy's bag onto the grass, getting turned on in the process. He's clearly in the middle of a battle, Chimera facing up against an Ekans that was definitely starting to get tired. After a few more minutes of battling, Envy started to call for one more Bite attack, but then stopped, looking contemplative.]

Hey, Chimera, just keep it from running.

[He backs towards the camera and his bag, crouching down to rummage through it and withdraw one of his pokeballs. He throws it with decent aim, and it hits the battered Ekans before absorbing it. Shake….shake…shake….Ding! Envy grins triumphantly before going to pick the ball with his second Pokemon in it up.]

Heh. What do you know, it worked. Now you can quit bothering me all the time whenever your buggy friend's put away, huh? [He frowns down at his happy Larvitar, but his tone could aaaalmost be called affectionate. When he walks back to his bag, he finally notices that his 'gear is on.]

Damn, this thing turns on for no reason I guess. Hey, anyone who was watching. This damn weather is driving me crazy, anyone who wants to fight, lemme know. Not with the Pokemon, a real sparring fight. No weapons I guess, but who needs 'em. I'm in Violet, I'll meet wherever. Not like there's much else to do.

[Greed smirks] If you like losing, I'll fight you when I get there. Took you long enough t' catch your next pokemon. I've already got a new one too.

[He snorts disdainfully.] At least I choose mine more carefully than you probably do. Caught the first one you saw right?

[Then he grins a little viciously.] Oh, I'd be happy enough to fight you when you get your slow ass here, don't worry.

[Greed just laughs a little mockingly.] Wouldn't you like t' know? We could battle and find out who's better at this after I hand your scrawny ass back to you on a platter. But I bet you're looking forward to me pinning you down. You seemed to like it well enough last time.

'Last time' was two damn centuries ago, Greed. As for who's better, I doubt it's you, so I think I just might let you battle me, since you want to so badly. And you could even flirt with the nurse at the Center some more afterwards.

If I were all the way back in Violet, I'd take you up on the sparring offer.

Buuut I think I'll stay here with my running water and actual bed, thanks. I missed those things.

Too bad, from what I saw a while back when you were running from that cop, you might actually be a match. [He smirks, looking teasing.]

How long did it take you to get wherever you are? [Even if he wasn't intending to leave Violet anytime soon, he'd still rather know what was coming as far as travel time whenever he did move on.]

I'm more than a match! _{[She was also cocky as hell, but there you go.]}

And eh... 'bout a month but I had to do a lot of sitting around.

If I hadn't stopped... I dunno. Two weeks?

Well, if we're ever in the same place then I guess we'll have to test this out to be sure, huh?

And oh. Guess I never introduced myself, did I? Name's Heather.

[He pauses for a moment to consider. He might as well tell her; there's already people who know it and Greed's here besides.] Hmm, since I like you well enough I'll tell you my real name. 'S Envy.

_{[She quirks a brow.]} Envy, huh. Interesting name.

[He just shrugs.] The one my mother gave me. I guess I used to have a more regular one, but that was a long time ago, I don't remember what it was. Wasn't really mine anyway.

_{[Huh. Interesting. She doesn't pry, though.]}

Well, birth names are overrated, anyway. _{[Sure wasn't like she went by HERS.]}

[He's glad she didn't, it saves him the trouble of making something up. After all, if he tells the truth too many times in one day he might get hives or something.]

Yeah, I can agree with that pretty well.

[He pauses and frowns.] Hey, you've been here longer. Anything like this weather happened before? I don't like it.

_{[Her expression sours a little as well.]}

Not as long as I've been here. _{[And she's seen plenty of crazy weather in Johto-- from that horrific storm that flooded from Violet to New Bark for more than a week, to those horrible windy days when she'd been stranded in the middle of the wilderness...]}

It gives me a bad feeling.

[He nods, and grits his teeth slightly.] Whatever it is, I wish it'd just hurry up and happen already. I'd rather get it over with than keep up this waiting much longer.

I will. If you think you can really handle yourself.

Oh, I think I can handle myself just fine. I'm just outside Violet, should be easy enough to find.

[Meets him out there, stretching and getting ready.]

Any style you prefer? And let's make it clear it's a spar. I don't want to deal with Officer Jenny getting upset.

[He's already been stretching, and looks excited at the prospect of an actual fight. He considers the question for a moment, since his style is more of a combination of variations on several.] Mine's not anything in particular, mostly Xingese, but I can adapt to most things if you've got one. Or we could just each use our favorite and see how it goes.

[He nods.] Yeah, I'm not interested in getting in trouble either. Definitely just a spar.

((ooc: I wasn't really sure what to call it, it's like a mix between capoeira and tae-kwon-do XD;; I won't be on much today either, but if you have an aim or something we could talk whenever I do get online?))

[ooc: Sure, my aim's LittleTigerCC12, I've got weird hours from migraines + sleep so just im me whenever and I'll get back to it asap.]

Using favorites sounds good. I just use basic kickboxing if you're heard of it.

[He nods.] Yeah, I've heard of it. So let's start then? [He falls back into position, smirking challengingly.]

Any time you're ready. [First falls back into a defensive position.]

[Grinning, he darts forward to begin, and feels at least some of the tension and frustration he's been feeling fade as he dodges, strikes, and flips. Even getting hit isn't bothering him much at this point.]

[Far less dextrous, Smoker notes that it's a lot like fighting a Sanji who isn't as careful about protecting his hands. Smoker doesn't bother with anything fancy, just blocking with crossed forearms and booted kick here and there. Likewise, he just needs to get out some of his own frustration about not capturing ten-year-old Straw-Hat. He's also taking a slower time to get rolling, working up gradually.]

[For his showing off at the start, Envy manages to remember that this body does actually get tired now, and slows down some as he goes on to conserve some energy. The last thing he wants is to get tired early and come off looking like some weakling. As Smoker gets going more, he keeps pace, but his dodges remain simpler than they were. It's interesting, fighting someone without having an automatic advantage, and although he has to think about what he's doing more, he can't say he minds the challenge too much.]

[Grins approvingly when Envy starts pacing himself, but keeps up the pace, not allowing for any weakness. He's fought too many pirates to get soft now even without his devil fruit.]

[Envy keeps up well for a while, but eventually he does start to get tired and frowns, starting to rely more on dodging and defensive moves, but occasionally also trying to get past Smoker's defenses to land a good kick.]

[Smoker's defenses slip here and there since Envy is a very good opponent, but he can handle more than a heavy kick or three, and if anything it just serves to focus him on fighting back more, none of the strength wearing down.]

[Eventually, Envy starts slipping up more and more, until finally Smoker lands a solid kick to his side. He tries flipping back onto his feet, but his now shaky legs don't do exactly what he tells them, so he just winds up falling back. He pushes himself back up to a crouch, but he's pretty sure he's lost now that his body's weaknesses are starting to make themselves apparent in the lull.]

[While Smoker's instincts lead him to go for the kill, it's just a spar so he temporarily eases up.]
