57th Transformation [video/action for travelmates]
[It's snowing today. In June. And as far as Envy's concerned, that is Not Okay, and is grounds to spend the day sulking inside. But Envy also hasn't slept much in the past few days, and sitting around flipping through the 'Gear isn't that exciting. So sometime in the afternoon, he just...nods off.]
[When the feed actually turns on, there's a Clefairy in front of the screen, who chirps happily when it comes on. He moves out of the way, adjusting the angle to show Envy asleep in a chair, curled up in a position that what the hell can't possibly be comfortable. But what might be more interesting is the mound of random stuff carefully piled on top of him. Things like tiny hotel shampoo bottles, notebooks, Potions, a deck of cards, a Zombidoof plushie, a lone Christmas ornament shaped like a pineapple...anything that happened to be in the hotel room and not nailed down, it looks like. There's a Teddiursa, a Murkrow, and a Zoroark who are all ever so carefully adding more things to the pile, all freezing whenever Envy shifts or stirs. The point seems to be how much they can get away with without waking him up.]
[And they're all very proud of the masterpiece they're making out of their trainer, judging by the looks they keep giving the 'Gear. Look, Network, we did a thing isn't it great?]
[...Although maybe someone should wake Envy up before he gets buried alive.]

Itachi watches for a little bit, entertained at the efforts, trying to decide whether he ought to intervene somehow. His sense of humor isn't exactly legendary, but he'd like to be watching when this guy wakes up.
The choice is taken from him when the above Growlithe starts barking in her closest approximation of laughter. She might just be getting some terrible ideas!]
[The sudden loud barking coming from the 'Gear speakers does manage to startle Envy awake. He tries to sit up before realizing that he's covered in stuff, and it all goes crashing to the floor while the Pokemon let out dismayed noises.]
What the hell?
[No, he doesn't realize he's being filmed yet.]
[Then there's a lot of not-truly-angry shouting and chasing all around the hotel room, until eventually Envy manages to grab the Teddiursa up off the floor and slows down enough to notice that the 'Gear is propped up and that there's a video of somebody watching this mess.]
[Envy stops, stares, and straightens up immediately as though he was not just being incredibly undignified. He narrows his eyes at the camera.]
How long has that been on?
Re: [video]
[It's a good thing Itachi has plenty of practice controlling his expression. There's not even a hint of merriment by the time Envy gets a good look at his face.]
For a little while. Your Pokémon seem to have a very... active sense of humor.
That's one way to put it. Yours don't do things like this?
Not at all. They're much better behaved.
[Well. Relatively speaking, anyway.]
Yeah, and how many do you have? Because if you've only got three, that doesn't count.
[Ah, well. There is that. Itachi has perhaps not been as assiduous at collecting Pokemon as he ought to be. He doesn't really have a retort for that point.]
[Crocker's intention isn't to wake up Envy but hey whatever works?]
[...was this being filmed. Damn it. Envy is not in a good mood when he picks up the 'Gear, glaring at it. The pineapple ornament is still stuck in his hair.]
What are you screaming about?
Re: [Video]
Where'd it go, where'd it go? WHERE'D IT GO?!
[Crocker places his face very close to the camera.] OW!
[His eyes dart back and forth.]
Who are you?
I'm the guy that Clefairy belongs to, that's who.
What do you care where he went?
Just curious.
Tell me... Where exactly did you find that Clefairy, mmmm?
[action]
What frustrates him more is looking out the window and seeing snow. In the middle of the summer.
And since Envy is currently in the same city, he might as well. They're on good enough terms that not every conversation they have devolves into fighting. Besides, he might actually have an explanation for this.
And that's why he finds himself knocking on the door to Envy's hotel room, Martel following him closely because Greed what are you doing.]
[action]
[The pineapple Christmas ornament is still caught in his hair. He doesn't seem to notice.]
What?
[action]
He smirks before he can stop himself, eying the ornament for a moment. Greed's tempted to just pull it out of Envy's hair, but instead he gestures to it, biting back a sarcastic comment for once in his life.]
Does the weather like to play tricks here or something?
[action]
The weather? Oh. The snow.
[Envy says snow like most people would say acid rain.]
Yeah, it...gets weird sometimes.
[action]
He's going to have fun come winter.]
Snowing in June... it's like some sort of bad prank.
[action]
[Damn, Envy would have paid money to see Greed's face on first encountering that snow is cold.]
[action]
[He's glad Envy wasn't around because talk about an incredibly embarrassing "you were obviously not human before coming here" moment.
That and he doesn't exactly have any warm clothes. It was a pretty quick trip outside.]
Then again it was hailing yesterday and it was foggy the day before that... this week has been strange even for this place.
[action]
Wouldn't be surprised if something happens soon. Weather like that isn't usually a good sign.
[But it's when the weather is the same for a long time that Envy gets really worried.]
Could've done without it being cold weather though.
[action]
Something we should be worried about?
[action]
It could wind up being something harmless.
[Or it could be EVERYONE GETS THEIR SOUL STOLEN BY BUGS.]
[action]
[Though he's not convinced at all.]
[...Please don't ever tell him about that. He's still struggling with the concept of having a soul to begin with.]
[action]
[...unless Greed ever sees Envy encounter a Shedinja and gets to watch him drop everything and run.]
Oh see now you've gone and said that and it's going to be something terrible.
[He's...mostly just joking.]
[action]
Maybe fire will start raining from the sky.
[action]
[He shrugs, then. Meanwhile, Lilith the Zoroark and Charon the Clefairy decide to peek around the hotel room door to see what's up. When they spot Martel, they both come right on out to say hello to the other Pokemon.]
So did you just come over here to complain about the snow?
[... The first part wins out.]
[She leaves the screen for a moment and when she comes back, she's got a bag of microwaved popcorn. Because REALLY, what the hell else are you supposed to do on a summer day where it's inexplicably snowing outside?]
[Lilith the Zoroark notices movement on the 'Gear screen as she walks by it, carrying the next addition to their masterpiece. She gives her audience a sneaky grin and a quiet snicker, and holds one claw up in front of her face; yes excellent, trainer's friend, be quiet.]
[There's really no telling how long they would have succeeded in this game, because the other very noisy responses start coming in before long. So Heather gets to see Envy startle awake and send a cascade of junk clattering to the floor while he blinks in utter confusion. The Pokemon all freeze in place before scattering, shrieking in amusement.]
What--hey! Get back here! What the hell.
[Now how does he get out of the chair to chase them without stepping on all this shit.]
[Then she goes right ahead and starts to snicker loudly, still popping the popcorn into her mouth.]
Mornin', sunshine.
How long has that been on?!
[Now it's time for embarrassed screeching.]
[So instead she just smirks, propping her chin on one fist.]
Awhile.
[Envy can't talk he would have done the same thing.]
It's not that funny.
[HUFF. He's not truly annoyed, just super indignant that he got seen being so very undignified.]
It's hilarious.
Like that website where people just pile stuff on top of their Meowths and take pictures.
We should have one like that, but for you.
StuffOnEnvy.com.
Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
It's not hilarious when it's happening to me.
[He crosses his arms and stares very deliberately away from the camera. Although then he looks at her out of the corner of his eye, without moving his head.]
I dunno, I think StuffOnHeather.com might sound better.
[...okay mostly done being huffy now, he's teasing back.]
A title only YOU bear at the moment.
video;
Which is why he's only just settling down inside to get warmed up, having spent the past couple of hours having snowball fights with Shaun and letting his Pokemon run around. He's still looking a little flushed from the cold when the feed flickers on from his end. He's also looking amused as hell, because of all the things he expected to see when he turned his 'Gear on, this wasn't one of them.
He doesn't try to stop the Pokemon. Doesn't even say anything at all, actually. He just spends a moment or two appraising their handiwork, and then, with a shit-eating grin, gives them a thumbs-up.
Yes. Good. Keep going.]
video;
[The Clefairy notices that they have an audience and gives him a "thumbs up" right back, at least as much as he can with his nubby Clefairy fingers. Oh don't worry, they intend to keep this up as long as they can. This is what Envy gets for teaching his Pokemon to be a bunch of trolls.]
[But eventually other, noiser replies start coming in to wake Envy up. And wake up he does, with much crashing and shrieking Pokemon and confused half-asleep shouting. And as soon as he manages to flail out of all the mess around him, Envy will be chasing the four pranksters all over the room.]
[BEHOLD, THE TERRIFYING CENTURIES OLD UNDEAD MONSTER.]
video;
C'mon, get 'em already! What's the matter, you too slow to catch a couple'a pranksters?
[Well, if the laughter doesn't get Envy's attention, the jeering certainly will. Way to make a good first impression, Yusuke.]
video;
I'm not slow!
[Now with a point to prove to the obnoxious stranger, he speeds up enough to finally grab up one of his quarry. Little Bear doesn't seem threatened, but just laughs and waves his arms in Envy's grip. Such a fun game! Now Envy turns and glares in the direction of the 'Gear. He's embarrassed, and unlike Heather he doesn't know Yusuke and is annoyed at being laughed at.]
See? No problem.
video;
Yeah, congrats. You outran a teddy bear. Y'know, it's too bad you dumped all that stuff on the ground. They were makin' pretty good progress.
