[Envy appears to be having some kind of trouble today. The camera is pointed at him, either propped up on a table or being held by something. He's in a hotel room, and he's standing..strangely. His back is bent, and his arms are bent out away from his sides…it looks like he's covered in something heavy, but there's nothing there. Nothing except for three bright red zigzags hovering in midair, and if you looked very closely an area where the air looks different. There's also a Ninetales circling closely around his legs and growling and yapping indignantly at whatever the invisible things draped all over Envy are. A Houndoom's excited barks can be heard somewhere off camera. Envy's teeth are gritted as he nearly glares at the camera, because really? Really?]

I have some Pokemon to sell. They just hatched. They're two thousand each, so send me that and you'll get your own very friendly invisible lizard.

[He shakes one of his arms lightly, and startles the Kecleon clinging to it into visibility. It lets out a whining "Keeeeeh", which Envy ignores.]

And here's what they actually look like. So--

[If he had more to say, he doesn't get to, because with a visible target the Ninetales swings around to yap at it, and the 'Gear is knocked over and off by her many tails.]

Is there one that doesn't have any friends?

I don't know for sure, I just found them half an hour ago.

[But he twists around and manages to grab one that was hanging off of his back, holding it up. Over the feed, it looks for all the world like he's holding nothing but empty air and a zigzag.]

This one doesn't keep as close to the other two.

[She squints at the video, like she's trying to scrutinize the lizards he's manipulating even though there's no possible way she could actually be looking at them.]

Okay, well, I want that one. The no-friend one. Or, like...the one you think nobody's going to adopt. 'Cause nobody wants it or something. I want that one.

[He pauses, his grin fading into an odd expression. It's a searching look, but also...approving, in a way. It's over very fast, and then he's back to the grinning.]

[Congratulations, Parker, you've passed the weird, unspoken test for Envy being okay with you adopting one of his things.]

[He's spent most of his time in Johto being a conman and so he can never be too careful about money anymore.]

How do I know you're not just going to take my money and keep the lizard?

Well, as I said before, I don't want to own four of them.

So I have more incentive to give you one after I've gotten paid than you do to send me the money after you've gotten one.

Or you might just be saying that because you're a scam artist and want to keep all the lizards for yourself and get paid.

[A shrug and a casual smirk.]

It's possible. Neither of us have ever met, so how can we trust each other not to be scam artists?

[He thinks for a moment; he really does want to sell this thing without too much hassle over who might be scamming who.]

I could always send one of my flying Pokemon to deliver it, and it wouldn't hand your lizard over until you've given it the money. Or you could do the same.

...Yeah. Okay. You send over the invisi-lizard with one of your flying types, and then you get the money on delivery. That works.

Right, then it's settled. [He pauses, thinking about which of his flying types could actually be trusted to deliver something.]
