48th Transformation [video/action for Goldenrod]

[The feed opens on a view of one of Goldenrod's parks, and is aimed at a small pack of Pokemon. In the middle of the pack is a Houndoom wearing sunglasses, and he's surrounded by four wild Houndour. The Houndoom has his chin up in the air proudly, looking charismatic as hell. Then he throws back his head and howls, and the Houndour all howl with him. He scrambles to his feet, barks a few times, and takes off to chase a nearby flock of Pidove, leading his little army of yapping followers behind him.]

[Envy turns the camera around to show himself. He's leaning against the side of his Tyranitar, and the dark circles under his eyes suggest that he had trouble sleeping last night. He looks incredulous.]

That only took one hour. One hour, and my dog formed a damn gang out of wild Pokemon.

[He shakes his head.]

And you know, I remember saying after my first anniversary that I'd only be impressed if Johto kept me here ten years. I didn't think that whatever brought us all here was going to take me up on that.

But today makes three years. So happy anniversary to me, I guess.

[France has made his way out to find Envy following the transmission, although this is usually the time of day that he's at work. It's honestly a bit pointless for France to even have a job at this point since there's nothing to spend his money on, but he goes out of habit.]

[He raises his free hand when he finds Envy and his pokemon, a picnic basket in the other. Unusually, it's Thérèse who is out today rather than Marianne, and she prances along next to the basket, far more interested in its meaty contents than anything else.]

Hey! Hungry?

[Envy looks up right away when he hears France, managing a grin despite his tiredness and general bad mood, and waves back. Lucky gambols over, barking happily in greeting and wagging his tail at both France and Thérèse before running back to his new Houndour buddies.]

[He leaves his spot leaning on Chimera to go meet France halfway, but as he does he pats the Tyranitar on the side once, as though to reassure himself. Chimera stays where he is, but keeps an eye on Envy.]

I don't see how I wouldn't be, with you bringing the food.

[France smiles back more easily, sharing a bit of the sunny expression with Lucky, too. Thérèse automatically stops to preen beneath Lucky's attention only to be foiled any further when the other's attention is distracted. She makes a huffing noise, unused and miffed at being ignored, before prancing after France.]

[France sets the basket on the ground as Envy comes to meet him, opening his arms for a hug.]

I made quiche alsacienne, although the cheese isn't quite what I would prefer.

[Envy moves to accept the hug, putting an arm around France in return and leaning on him a bit more heavily than usual.]

It'll still taste good anyway.

[As far as he's concerned, everything France makes tastes good.]
