46th Transformation [drawpad | backdated to the 3rd]
[Envy is no stranger to waking up in different cities after the bi-annual crazy weekends. But this is the first time he's woken up in the middle of the woods. At least he's got Henry here with him! And after discovering that the 'gears are useless except for the drawpad, they've got a message to send out. Henry gets the stylus first.]

[And it's at this point that Envy takes over.]

--ACTION--
[With all the pictures sent out, Envy looks around. Nothing but trees as far as he can see, and a lake full of pixelated Gyarados somewhere to the east. He doesn't even know where they are...it might be that Lake of Rage place on the map, but without the GPS he doesn't know if it actually is. There might be a hundred lakes in the middle of nowhere, for all he knows. He turns to Henry.]
Let's keep moving, before those things come after us again.
[WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED THAT BIDOOF COULD BE SO SCARY? They weren't hard to beat in a battle, but there were way too damn many of them around here.]

[action]
We should sleep in some trees like they did in Homeward Bound so we don't get eaten.
[action]
I don't know if that'd help. Last time this kind of thing happened there were flying skeletons.
[He is not going to ever forget those bastards. He runs a hand down his face, frustrated. He's glad Henry's there and he isn't lost out here by himself, but he'd rather not be in this situation at all. Ugh, nature.]
Maybe someone'll be nearby. Someone with a flying type. [How did it happen that he had so many pokemon with Fly and yet none of them were in his party.]
[action]
I thought about sending Frootloops for help, but...I'm not sure I'd ever see him again.
[Henry finally makes the first expression he's made for hours and frowns at the trees. Why did it have to be a forest?]
I'm doing it. I'm going to look for...anything.
[Henry shoves his invisible box at Envy and takes to the nearest tree, bear-hugging his way up until he can grab some branches. Unfortunatley, he only makes it far enough off the ground for it to be a painful fall when the tree suddenly glitches out of existance]
Augh!
[action]
[Too bad those glitched back out of existence at the end of the weekend.]
Shit--!
[He does start forward to try, but he doesn't react fast enough. But then, he wasn't expecting the tree to disappear.]
Seriously?!
[This is truly the worst forest.]
[action] ;-; internet is still broken
This is where we die, Envy. Far away from everyone we know and with no cereal.
[action] /hugs
We're not going to die in the woods. Think how embarrassing that'd be.
[He glances warily at the spot where the tree used to be.]
So much for sleeping in trees, though.
[action]
Envy, use Dig.
[action]
[Henry Envy isn't a pokemon even if he has hair like one.]
Yeah, I don't think I know Dig.
At least not the kind where a magical hole to anywhere appears. Weren't you the one who had those over the weekend?
[Pause.]
...Henry, use Dig.
[action]
FINE.
[The photographer sits bolt upright, twists around, and starts digging his fingers into the soggy earth.]
I WILL DIG US A SHELTER! I'LL DO IT MYSELF!
[I'm so sorry, Envy.]
I'm an expert at mysteriously appearing holes. I made that a thing.
[action]
[Envy does the first thing he can think of, which is to grab Henry's shoulders in what he hopes is a reassuring way.]
Henry. Henry, I was kidding, you don't have to dig any holes.
[He really hopes Henry didn't hit his head too hard on the way down from that tree. Is that how head injuries work? Is this what would happen? ENVY HAS NO REAL IDEA.]
[action]
I don't...I don't know what happened there. Sorry, man. Let's start walking.
[action]
You didn't get hurt when you fell, did you?
[He takes a moment to fish a Pokeball out of his bag, holding it up and giving Henry a halfway grin. If nothing else, he can pretend they're not doomed.]
Why walk when we have giant animals to ride?
[action]
I know, buddy, it's gross out here.
[Henry climbs aboard.]
[action]
[Envy doesn't have his own bananasaur or they'd be flying out of here by now, but he does have a hellhound the size of a small horse. He sends out Lucky the sunglasses-wearing Houndoom, who doesn't look happy with all the wet and muck either.]
We could try the lake again. If we follow it around, there might be something...a road or a cabin, I don't know. C'mon, Lucky, let me up.
[Lucky snorts but bends down so that Envy can climb on easier; he's okay with being ridden around, and his whippy tail even starts wagging. Attention! Yay!]
[action]
Right...I hope it's nto a serial killer's cabin. Chch chch!
[He pats the dinosaur on the side of the neck and the Tropius starts walking.]
That'd be our luck. A glitchy cannibal serial killer.
[action]
Well if we find one of those, we'll just have to off him first before he can get us. Then we'd have the cabin.
I think the two of us could handle some serial killer, right?
[action]
[Henry looks at the back of Frootloops's head as they travel the dank marsh.]
I haven't had the best experience with serial killers...but I didn't have pokemon with me then.
[His frown fades as quickly as it appeared.]
We'll kick his ass....unless it's a whole family of them.
[action]
[He grins over at Henry, and then looks more curious.]
When have you been dealing with serial killers?
[Well. Aside from the one he's traveling with right now. But this particular serial killer isn't going to let any other ones near his friend.]
[action]
[Henry is quiet for a moment as he tries to think up the best way to explain himself. Envy is his friend. He trusts him.]
Back home I was on the trail of an undead serial killer and he was on my trail the whole time. Guy killed himself with a spoon. I read it in the paper.
[action]
[He also briefly wonders about what kind of weird idiot kills themselves with a spoon, and then decides not to mention that for now.]
I remember you told me about your apartment having monsters in the walls. This guy have something to do with that, I'm assuming?
[action]
[Henry pauses as something chitters in the trees.]
He thought my apartment was his mom, by the way. Man.
[action]
...and here I thought the alchemists who've tried to bring people back were crazy.
And he was after you?
[action]
[action]
And now you've got to kill him first.
[It's pretty much the first and only option that comes to mind for Envy. No suggestions of talking it out or even incapacitation from this guy.]
[action]
[He wasn't too keen on going right back to that scene after a couple years of easy living in happy shiny pokemans land.]
[action]
Well if he ever shows up here, let me know. If he wants to go after you, he'll have to go through me first.
[action]
[action 1/2]
[action 2/2]
If there's one thing I know, it's that anything can be killed. There's always a way.

Do you think this place is starting to fall apart?
no subject
Because of everything screwing up?
[He considers it.]
If it is, it started a long time ago. This kind of thing happened about a month after I got here, except it was worse. Everything...the whole world went dark and blocky that time. [He doesn't know the word for pixels.]
[Ahead of them, the woods open and the lake shore finally comes into view; they're separated from it by what's practically a marsh, with smaller trees sprouting here and there. Lucky whines and lifts his feet high to keep them out of the mud as much as he can.]
no subject
[As he explained, he nodded solumly. He'd been told the horrors of the Missing No days. It was long before his time, several long Halloweens ago. Henry tenses up when they come upon the marsh. It was probably full of terrible mud people.]
Around...or through?
no subject
[Because that would just. Not be fair.]
Arou...
[Envy trails off mid-word as a loud chattering, like dozens of buck-teeth clacking together, sounds from the undergrowth behind them. And to the left. And to the right.]
Or through. Yes. Through. Let's go!
no subject
[He's unable to voice this because he's cut off by hellish chattering. He looks over his shoulder with wide eyes.]
Okay! Through! Through, FruitLoops! Go, boy!
[Picture]
["I think I am in Blackthorn??? WHAT IS HAPPENING?"]
[Picture]
[Picture]
["Is that a lake? If so, I think you are near Lake Rage? Not 100% sure, though."]
[Picture 1/2]
["Maybe, I'll let you know when we're out"]
[Picture 2/2]
["Are there monsters in Blackthorn?" Accompanied by a little doodle of a skeletal Aerodactyl and one of the blocky glitches he's seen around. There's been enough of them out here in the woods, and he remembers what it was like even in the cities last time those showed up.]
[Picture]
["YES! I keep seeing those! Even my own look weird! It's all gone pixelated, like Halloween 3 years ago."]
[Picture]
["Maybe it'll stop soon. Be careful okay?"]
[Envy really does not like the idea of France possibly getting attacked by pixel skeletons while he's stuck out here in the middle of nowhere and can't punch them right in their bony noses for trying.]
[Picture 1:2]
["You, too! Let me know if you find to civilization! ♥ you so much!"]
[...]
[Wait -]
[Picture 2:2] Sorry for all the edits!
["WHEN! Not if!!!"]
[France shares Envy's same fears, but not for a second does he actually want to think about another outcome except the best.]
