[When the feed opens, it's looking out over Goldenrod City from the rooftop of some high building. Then it turns around to show Envy grinning widely (and a bit wildly) and standing beside his Aerodactyl, who is wearing one heck of an elaborately secure flight harness.]

So, Johto, I've been wondering. Just how fast can an Aerodactyl dive? And today, we're all going to find out.

[The 'Gear shakes and moves while Envy appears to be attaching it into a little buckle contraption on the front of the flying harness and is left there to continue viewing out over the city. A minute or two later, while Envy gets strapped into the harness himself, the 'Gear starts hopping forward, the Aerodactyl's chin dipping into the frame. It gets over the edge of the roof, hangs there for a moment, and with a loud whooping laugh from Envy and a delighted screech from the dinosaur, starts falling straight down. Have fun with the view traveling at high speed towards the street below, getting within two stories of the ground before it makes a sharp angle and flattens out, zooming horizontal to the ground for a good ways before it gets to a more open place, a park from the looks of it, and the Pokemon goes in for a landing.]

[Shortly after the feed has stopped bumping around, Envy hops down and unhooks the 'Gear from the harness, turning it to face him once more.]

As you can see, the answer is pretty damn fast.

[He laughs again, and the feed ends.]

Atmospheric...as in from space?

[Envy's world doesn't even have airplanes. GOING TO SPACE IS AN ENTIRELY FOREIGN CONCEPT.]

[But one he definitely looks impressed about, machine or not.]

How did you get the machine there?

You ought to get yourself a Charizard, those are pretty close to that.

And they can breathe fire and everything.

Get yourself any kind of big, maneuverable flying type and you can.

And something to strap on with, a dive like that goes way too fast to hang on to with just your hands.

But I didn't feel weird or anything!

I haven't seen anyone else acting weird either, it was just normal!

[HE DIDN'T MEAN TO SCARE HENRY SO MUCH BUT. HE HAS TO DEFEND HIMSELF FIRST.]

It was built there in the first place. A large amount of my world's population lives in space colonies, so we had our own factories. Going back to Earth usually involves much larger ships, though, for those who can afford it.

[His was a somewhat extreme case, you could say.]

FANTASTIC! I'LL DO THAT RIGHT AWAY!

[Envy's been here for so long that someone saying something like how they used to fly doesn't even faze him. He just immediately takes Tobias at his word.]

Ah, yeah, you have that act at the circus. I guess you would know then.

Hey, you got any ideas on how to go faster, not just higher?

[Envy just snorts.]

Yeah, well, that wouldn't surprise--

The angle seems about right, so adding height might not help with that... depends how your Aerodactyl tucks in its wings. It's part rock so the weight isn't the problem, I'm guessing. It's probably the position - have you ever seen a peregrine falcon dive? I could probably show you guys the right position to take, though it's... dangerous to go too fast. You go fast enough, and you won't be able to breathe.

I sure as hell am, been one for more than a year now.

How're you gonna show us the right position if you're not a bird anymore? It doesn't seem like it'd translate to a person shape very well.

[He doesn't sound like he's turning down the offer, though.]

You all live in space? How? What do these colonies even look like, are they on other planets?

[HE'S CERTAINLY INTERESTED.]

[O h ....]

[He knew Henry'd panicked, but he hadn't thought it would be this bad. A guilty little frown forms on his face, and his shoulders hunch.]

I didn't mean to scare him. I showed the harness and everything!

No. Well, there's a few near Mars, but they're their own nation. They look like... enormous cylinders, I guess, with rectangular panels starting from one of the ends.

I can show you on Regal, or draw you a picture. I'd like to get flashier stuff like that in my act, but the tent's not really big enough for the angle and height that I need. It's not exactly safe to do in an enclosed space since you go so fast, and I think Joker might complain if we splat some of the paying customers.
